Integrated Labour Inspection Training – Why is it important? Watch the video on this link.

One of the intervention’s key aspects is capacitating Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and labour officers by equipping them with the necessary skills and competencies that are critical in aiding their effectiveness in discharging their labour administration mandate. This is in line with ILO’s “Decent Work, Safe Work” programme which entrusts labour inspection and its social partners with new roles and responsibilities earmarked to improve working conditions and guarantee decent labour relations through an integrated labour inspection system.  

In line with the above statement, the Ministry of Labour, under the EU’s Zantchito Skills for Jobs Programme is conducting a series of Intensive Capacity Building Trainings for Labour Inspectors in Malawi. The first training was conducted in Kasungu from the 4^th – 8^th of August 2023 and the second session will take place in Blantyre at Amaryllis Hotel from 2^nd to 6^th of September. The theme of the training is “Promoting Effective Integrated Labour Inspections for Attainment of Decent Jobs.”
