The EU funded Zantchito Skills for Jobs Programme together with the Ministry of Labour, have organized a 5-day intensive capacity-building workshop for labour inspectors to take place at Chikho Hotel in Kasungu from 4th to 8th of September 2023.
Labour inspectors from 14 districts in the central and northern regions are expected to attend the capacity building training under the theme; “promoting effective integrated labour inspection for the attainment of decent jobs.” The fourteen districts include: Lilongwe, Dedza, Mchinji, Kasungu, Dowa,
By the end of the training, the inspectors are envisaged to acquire enhanced knowledge on hazard identification and controlling of risk, Labour laws and their application, decent work, planning and conducting of effective labour inspections among others.
